interpersonal function of language in subtitling
translation as a comunicative process is always said to be associated with various aspects of meaning loss or gain. subtitling as a mode of translating, due to special discoursal and textual conditions imposed upon it, is believed to be an obvious case of this loss or gain. presenting the spoken sound track of a film in writing and synchronizing the perception of this text by the viewers with...
15 صفحه اولNon-local Charges and Their Algebra in Topological Field Theory
With the third order Monge-Ampère equation as an example, we show that there exists an infinite number of nonlocal conserved charges associated with the Witten-Dijkgraaf-Verlinde-Verlinde equations. A general prescription for the construction of these charges is given and the charge algebra is calculated bringing out various other interesting features associated with such systems.
متن کاملLocal D = 4 Field Theory on κ – Deformed Minkowski Space ∗
We describe the local D=4 field theory on κ–deformed Minkowski space as nonlocal relativistic field theory on standard Minkowski space–time. For simplicity the case of κ-deformed scalar field φ with the interaction λφ is considered, and the κ–deformed interaction vertex is described. متن کاملLocal Cohomology in Field Theory
This is an introductory survey of the theory of p-form conservation laws in field theory. It is based upon a series of lectures given at the Second Mexican School on Gravitation and In these lectures I will provide a survey of some aspects of the theory of local coho-mology in field theory and provide some illustrative applications, primarily taken from the Einstein equations of the general the...
متن کاملD-Branes in Field Theory
Certain gauge theories in four dimensions are known to admit semi-classical D-brane solitons. These are domain walls on which vortex flux tubes may end. The purpose of this paper is to develop an open-string description of these D-branes. The dynamics of the domain walls is shown to be governed by a Chern-Simons-Higgs theory which, at the quantum level, captures the classical scattering of doma...
